Sources & product scope
The comparison is an overview of workflows, not a benchmark, procurement recommendation or exhaustive licence specification. Product capabilities differ in depth. A supported capability does not imply every subfeature in the CivilGeniX description is available in the other product.
“Built-in / documented” identifies a published capability. “Module, extension or companion” identifies a wider product workflow that may need additional installation or licensing. “Check availability” means the reviewed sources do not establish the exact capability. “Not Available” is reserved for a documented limitation in the stated workflow; it does not exclude a separate companion-product workflow. Check the current vendor specification for the version and licence you intend to use.
CivilGeniX scope
CivilGeniX is in private early access. The website reflects the application implementation and regional registry reviewed on 8 September 2026, including the supplied development recordings.
- Road tools include parametric alignments, sections, corridors, junctions and conceptual bridge regions. Detailed bridge engineering, superelevation and complex ramp/merge design are not claimed here.
- Swept paths use a low-speed rigid-vehicle forward-motion model. Passenger-car traffic, flood and culvert tools support screening. They do not replace calibrated traffic modelling, articulated/reversing clearance analysis or detailed hydraulic validation.
- SWMM and EPANET are integrated network solvers. Input quality, boundary conditions and engineering review remain essential.
- Worksharing currently means work packages, coordination and reviewed changes, with scoped tools for AI agents. Automatic live peer transport and synchronisation remain in development.
- Drawing production supports registers, view placement, road/network generation, CAD annotation and DWG/DXF sheets. General schedules, full issue management and native batch PDF printing remain in development.
- Machine-control deliverables are interchange packages and setting-out data. Proprietary controller formats and field certification are not claimed.
- Regional references are configurable authority families, not complete encoded standards. Neutral catalogue parts are not automatically authority-approved products. Counts describe the audited built-in registry.
